Workers Compensation Claims & Injury Rehabilitation

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident or in a work related accident, we are experienced in treating a broad range of soft tissue injuries. We are are accredited with most Workers Compensation Insurers, the Victorian WorkCover Authority and the Insurance Commission of Western Australia.

For our Remedial Massage Therapists to treat your injuries, all we need is a referral from your General Practitioner and in most cases, accounts are sent direct to the Insurer for payment. Generally there is gap between what the Insurers will cover and our fee. This gap can be paid direct to us at the time of each treatment. The number of treatments we are able to undertake is determined by your G.P. and the Insurer and will also depend on the results we are able to achieve on your injury. Your therapist will discuss a treatment plan for you at your first consultation once a full assessment has been undertaken.

Motor Vehicle Accidents:

If you are a Western Australian resident, the Motor Vehicle Personal Injury Division (MVPID) of the Insurance Commission of W.A. will handle your claim. We are experienced in treating a broad range of motor vehicle related injuries including whiplash associated disorder. We require a written referral from your G.P. to provide remedial massage therapy treatment.

Work Related Injury:

Your employer will advise you who their Workers Compensation Insurer is. Generally this will be Riskcover division of the Insurance Commission of W.A. or a private insurer such as Allianz, Zurich, Western QBE, Alcoa, etc.  We are accredited with the Victorian Workcover Authority which allows us to undertake Workers Compensation injury rehabilitation for companies such as Allianz and Zurich. We require a written referral from your G.P. to provide remedial massage therapy treatment.

In most cases the cost of the treatments, minus the gap between what the Insurers will cover and our fee, will be sent directly to the Insurer for payment. In the event that the Insurer refuses to cover the cost of treatments provided, you will be responsible for payment the full outstanding balance.

Even if you have obtained a written referral from your G.P., we suggest you contact your Insurer to check that the cost of Remedial Massage Therapy will be covered as part of your rehabilitation program.

Rights and Obligations:

If you are unsure of your rights, obligations and entitlements in relation to any motor vehicle accident or work related accident/injury, we suggest you seek legal advise to ensure you receive the full benefits to which you are entitled to.
