Australian Natural
Therapists Association The Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) is a major Association of professional Natural and Traditional therapists working in the area of health care and preventative medicine. ANTA embraces disciplines in the Natural and Traditional Therapies and has represented and accredited its members since 1955 ensuring the standard of care you receive is the highest possible. ANTA's aim is for qualified Natural and Traditional Therapists to take their rightful place in providing community health care for all Australians. ANTA requires Remedial Massage Therapists to have undertaken a high level of training. ANTA Accredited Remedial Therapists have completed studies in human health sciences, a broad range of remedial massage therapy techniques as well as having completed supervised clinical practice sessions. There is currently no statute requirement for Remedial Massage Therapists to meet any minimum standard of training. Therefore when selecting a therapist, you should ensure they belong to a bonafide association such as ANTA. ANTA not only has strict standards which must be met by its members but also requires ongoing Professional Education to ensure members are up to date with current information within the profession. Is your Natural Therapist a member of ANTA?
